Lib erty S anc tuary is fundraising to provide enhanced healthcare to our herd by implementing a PROACTIVE MEDICAL program and a SLOW FEED initiative to more effectively replicate a horse's natural grazing behavior and help to avoid colic. We are partnering with Mountain Edge Veterinary Technology in coordination with our vet, Dr. Lybbert, to help identify medical issues up front. MEVT is a school for veterinary technicians. They will provide cost effective medical imaging and testing and visit the ranch regularly for medical checks. They will teach their students and our volunteers how to identify and address important warning signs so that we can be increasingly proactive in our care. For the slow feed program, we will be pairing Tarter hay baskets ($600) with hay nets from Hayburners ($160) to allow horses to feed more naturally without risking ulcers or colic. In order to introduce these healthful programs to our entire herd, we need your support! Thankfully, we have a generous matching donors so the first $10,000 in support will be matched. Every amount helps us reach our goal to provide enhanced medical care for all of the animals here at Liberty Sanctuary. Our rescues have been through so much, please help us to help them!
