In 2010, the Vlogbrothers asked their friend Esther Earl what she wanted the community of Nerdfighteria to do in honor of her birthday — not just once, but every year. Esther’s answer was simple and profound:
“Tell your friends and family you love them.”

And so, Esther Day was born — a celebration of non-romantic love that has brought people together every August 3rd since.

Now in its 16th year, we carry that tradition forward with the 5th Annual Esther Day Virtual Party — a gathering rooted in love, honesty, and shared connection.
