Official Notice: Poker Run Event Postponement

Dear Wonderful Supporters,

It is with great regret that we must inform you that our much-anticipated Poker Run fundraiser, originally scheduled for June 22, 2025, has been postponed. This decision was made following official directives from local law enforcement, mayors, and city officials, who have advised heightened security measures in the coming weeks due to anticipated civil unrest related to the upcoming "No Kings" rallies on June 14.

As this is our first time organizing a fundraising event, we were incredibly excited to bring this unique experience to our community. However, given the unpredictable nature of the situation and the fact that many of our designated Poker Run stops are in areas where heightened activity is expected, we have made the difficult decision to postpone. Your safety and well-being remain our top priority, and while canceling is heartbreaking, we believe it is the most responsible choice.

We are working diligently to reschedule the event for early fall and will provide updates as soon as new dates are confirmed.

For those who have already purchased tickets, we deeply appreciate your support and want to offer you the following options:

Convert your ticket purchase into a donation that directly funds PS I Love You Foundation’s social and emotional well-being programs for the 2025-26 school year.
Hold your ticket for the rescheduled event.
Receive a refund ticket cost.

♠️♥️ WHAT IS A POKER RUN? ♦️♣️

JOIN US ON JUNE 22, 2025

A Poker Run is a high-energy, interactive fundraising event where participants cruise in their coolest cars to 5 checkpoints, collecting one playing card at each stop. It’s part car rally, part game of chance, and all for a great cause—raising funds for P.S. I Love You Foundation’s programs supporting social-emotional and mental well-being for youth K-12.

The goal? DRAW the best 5-card poker hand and by the end of the route—play it at the final showdown with our POKER DEALER the infamous ED KAMINSKY to win epic prizes!

When: June 22, 2025
Participants: 100 cars / 10-car heats (All drivers need a valid license, registration, and printed waiver below.)
Route: 5 stops in LA with the final poker showdown ending at a final location to be given at check in.
Player Tickets: $100 per car (Proceeds benefit PS I Love You Foundation.) Please note our new ticket system asks for a "TIP" at check out; this is options and goes to Givebutter not PS I Love You.
Guest Tickets: $45 per guest (You can bring guests in your car or they can meet you at the final destination, but everyone needs a ticket to get into the final showdown destination.)

🕒 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (times may adjust slightly)

7:00–7:30 AM	Check-in + coffee at Krispy Kreme, Gardena at 1199 Artesia Blvd, Gardena CA 90248
7:30–8:00 AM	Kickoff Welcome + Mandatory Safety & Directions Briefing+Cars Arranged in Heat by Speed
8:00–11:00 AM	Heats Begin (10-car intervals) — visit 5 locations, draw one poker card per location
11:00–1:00 PM	Final Showdown Destination is a Community Celebration— Poker Hands are approved by our Poker Dealer and those hands are Played then the Winners are Announced

CHECKPOINTS:
5 stops, 1 card drawn at each stop. Get all 5 and head to the final showdown location!

GAME FORMAT:
Five Card Draw — easy, classic, and fun.

HOW TO WIN:
Show up with the strongest poker hand at the end and play at hte showdown for the win! Ed Kaminsky will be our POKER DEALER!
