Add to Calendar 2025-01-18 08:30:07 2025-01-18 11:30:55 America/Chicago 40th Annual Dr. King Jr. Prayer Breakfast-City of Elgin Each year, the City of Elgin Human Relations Commission takes great pride in presenting a weekend of activities celebrating the life and legacy of one of our country's greatest civil rights leaders, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Please join us at our 40th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Prayer Breakfast. 2024-2025 Theme: "We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope." February 6, 1968-The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This will be a morning of celebration, speakers, prayer, music and remembrance. Local students will be recognized and awarded Dr. King Scholarships. Local leaders and organizations will be recognized and honored as recipients of the Dr. King Humanitarian Award. Doors open at 8:00 AM. Breakfast starts promptly at 8:30 AM. Individual Tickets are $30. Tables of 8 are available at $240.
