Feast & Field is Muloma Heritage Center's immersive culinary educational program exploring African American, African Atlantic, and Gullah Geechee foodways through history, agriculture, ecology, culinary arts, and hospitality. Through hands-on learning, participants engage directly with historians, chefs, farmers, fishermen, bakers, artisans, and community knowledge keepers across the South Carolina Lowcountry.

At Muloma, we believe food is far more than what's on a plate. It tells the story of migration, resilience, innovation, memory, and place. Every participant leaves with a deeper understanding of the relationships between land, culture, community, and cuisine.

For many students, however, cost can become a barrier to this life-changing experience.

That's where you come in.

Help us plant the seeds to grow the next generation of cultural stewards through food.

Our goal is to raise $20,500 to provide scholarships for 12 students participating in the Fall 2026 Feast & Field cohort.

A full scholarship of $1,700 covers a participant's complete experience, including:

• Instruction
• Educational tours
• Meals & Lodging
• Transportation
• Travel to and from Saint Helena Island, South Carolina

100% of donations to this campaign will be used to provide Feast & Field student scholarships for the Fall 2026 cohort. You can choose to sponsor an entire student or give any amount toward our scholarship fund. Every contribution moves us closer to opening this opportunity to students whose passion and potential deserve to be nurtured.

Your gift creates lasting impact.

When you give, you're doing more than funding a program.

You're investing in future chefs, educators, farmers, storytellers, entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders who will carry these traditions into their own communities.

You're helping ensure that financial circumstances never determine who has access to this experience.

Together, we're cultivating the next generation of cultural stewards and culinary leaders.

Thank you for planting the seed.

Whether you sponsor one student or contribute whatever you're able, your generosity becomes part of every lesson learned, every meal shared, every story preserved, and every future shaped through Feast & Field.

Thank you for helping us grow!
