In 2003, Camp Kidwell held its first Festival of Trees. We are proud to continue offering this wonderful holiday tradition to our community while raising funds to support our mission of providing extraordinary camping opportunities and serving as a resource to youth, families, schools, and others throughout our region. Over the past 23 years, this event has allowed us to raise more than $800,000.

Camp Kidwell was created in 1949 by 4-H members from Allegan County. For more than 75 years, we have served our community as a youth camp and a facility where people can gather, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

Our facility is located on Eagle Lake near Bloomingdale, Michigan. Camp began on a beautiful eight-acre property purchased from the Kidwell family. In 1998, with the support of so many members of our community, we were blessed to expand to more than 150 acres. This expansion allowed us to add new facilities and become a year-round destination serving youth groups, families, schools, and businesses. It also preserved nearly a mile of Eagle Lake shoreline as undeveloped natural space.

Each year, we welcome more than 5,000 guests through programs that include summer, weekend, and winter camps; school programs; family reunions; friendship gatherings; youth retreats; church fellowships; weddings; and business events. Camp Kidwell is licensed by the State of Michigan and accredited by the American Camp Association.
