Sweet Dreams: The Aguilar Sisters Strengthen Our Community

Jennifer ('19) and Paola Aguilar ('21) exemplify how Freedom Prep Eagles soar beyond the classroom, turning dreams into reality. During the pandemic, these extraordinary alumni transformed challenges into opportunities by launching J&P Ice Cream—a business inspired by their Chiapas heritage and love for community.

With their shop offering “a taste of our traditions,” the Aguilar sisters combine cultural pride with a vision to inspire others. As Paola explains, “We want to model empowerment and leadership for younger students. Work hard for your dreams. Persist and never give up!”

Freedom Prep instilled in them the belief that a college education is key to liberating their futures:

Jennifer defied the odds last May, earning her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Christian Brothers University.
Paola, her class valedictorian, is studying Biology at the University of Memphis, on track to becoming a Physician Assistant.

Together, the Aguilars embody Freedom Prep's mantra:
