From a Bible Study to a Bigger Table

What started as a simple Bible study with a simple mission has grown into something much bigger than Homer and Rosie ever imagined.

They started by gathering young adults, feeding them, and teaching them the Word of God. It wasn’t about building an organization. It was about meeting a need — making sure young adults had something to eat, somewhere they belonged, and an opportunity to know that they were seen, loved, and valued by God.

Over time, that small Bible study began to grow.

What began around a table has now become Forged & Refined Ministries, a fully recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization — officially approved in September 2026.

And we believe this is only the beginning.

Today, God is expanding the vision beyond the walls of a Bible study and into our community.

Our next chapter is about making sure no one is forgotten at the table.

We are expanding our ministry to provide meals and resources to individuals and families experiencing homelessness through both a community food bank and a food truck, bringing food directly to people who need it most.

But we don’t want to stop at meeting today’s physical needs.

We want to invest in tomorrow.

FRM is also developing scholarship opportunities for youth and members of the homeless community, helping create pathways toward education, stability, opportunity, and a different future.

Because sometimes changing someone’s life starts with something as simple as a meal.

Sometimes it starts with someone sitting down and listening.

Sometimes it starts with a child hearing the Word of God for the first time.

And sometimes, it starts with someone believing that your circumstances don’t have to determine your future.

That is what Forged & Refined Ministries is about.

We are building a bigger table — one where anyone can be fed, people experiencing homelessness can find nourishment and dignity, young people can pursue their dreams, and every person who walks through our doors can be reminded that their life has value and purpose.

But we can’t build this table alone.
