About The Combat Control Foundation

The Combat Control Foundation is First There to provide care and support to Combat Controllers (CCTs), their families, and other members of the military special operations community.

The Foundation focuses on four pillars of support: Resilience, Wellness, Education, and Heritage.

Our First There 4 Resiliency (FT4-R) program provides mission-critical support to combat controllers, their families, and Gold Star families in times of need.

This year alone, we’ve served 625 individuals through FT4-R, covering essentials like emergency home repairs, emergency airfare, and memorial assistance.

The demanding nature of Combat Control duty takes a heavy toll on the physical and mental well-being of warriors and their families. Our First There 4 Wellness program provides essential financial, logistical, and preventive support, allowing them to focus on recovery.

This year, we’ve served 77 individuals, extending our care to veterans and family members facing their own challenges.

Sometimes accessing educational opportunities can be challenging for both warriors and their families. Through our First There 4 Education (FT4-E) program, we provide access to support higher education and training.

This year alone, we’ve served 392 individuals making education and training accessible and attainable for them.

Our First There 4 Heritage (FT4-H) program is committed to preserving and honoring the legacy of the Combat Control Community. With initiatives like historical interviews, memorials, reunions, and public educational events, we ensure that the extraordinary acts of service and enduring brotherhood within the community are celebrated and remembered.

Through recognitions like the MSgt John A. Chapman Service Before Self Award and support for Combat Control graduations, we strengthen the bonds that define this proud legacy and educate others about the exceptional contributions of Combat Controllers.

So far in 2024, the Combat Control Foundation directed $311,972 to our First There programs, allowing us to serve our combat control community with vital resources.
