Steve Taneyhill meant so much to the Gamecock community. His impact went far beyond the field. He brought people together, supported those around him, and represented what it means to be a true Gamecock.

His presence was especially meaningful to the team at Group Therapy and to the brothers of the Chi Psi Fraternity, where we were fortunate to have a strong and lasting relationship with him. Steve also did so much for the city of Columbia and for the bars and businesses throughout Five Points. He played a major role in building the culture and sense of community that so many people have been a part of over the years.

In honor of Steve’s life and legacy, we are hosting the FAC the Festival for Steve Taneyhill, a celebration of life rooted in community, music, and giving back. This event is not only about remembering Steve. It is about continuing the spirit he embodied and bringing people together the way he always did.

All profits from this event will be donated to the Taneyhill Fund through Garnet Gate. The fund exists to carry forward Steve’s legacy and support initiatives meaningful to his family and the Gamecock community.

We invite students, alumni, friends, and supporters to join us in celebrating Steve the way he would have loved, surrounded by energy, music, and the people who care deeply about the impact he made.

If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to consider donating. Every contribution helps extend Steve’s legacy and ensures his influence continues to make a difference.

Together, we can honor Steve in a way that reflects the pride, passion, and unity of the Gamecock family.
