STREB EXTREME ACTION brings its thrilling feats of physicality, grace, strength, and risk back to SLAM!

This fall’s performances, FAILING FORWARD AGAIN, will showcase new action, new stunts, and new ideas, along with some familiar favorites. The season runs November 18, 2022 through December 18, 2022; Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 3pm.

FAILING FORWARD, AGAIN investigates Elizabeth Streb’s philosophy that failure is an integral part of the creative process, making space for discovery and innovation and leading to unexpected, surprising and truly original moves. The show will feature gasp-inducing first looks at these experiments, the likes of which can only be experienced at STREB’s warehouse space, SLAM. This gem of Williamsburg is uniquely qualified to house these bold investigations. PLUS, the company will share a show-and-tell preview of STREB's newest Action Machine - SURF, a Maverick Wave apparatus designed to evoke motions surfers confront in the ocean’s gargantuan, 70 to 100 feet high, maverick waves, with power and turbulence.

On Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 5pm, join Elizabeth Streb and the Action Heroes, Action Hero Alumni, and valued members of our community to help us celebrate 20 years of triumph at the STREB Lab for Action Mechanics and the people that have helped our organization soar.

STREB thrives at the hands of its community. Our commitment has and will continue to be open access and engagement of the masses—high art for the people. Community is critical to our space, serving as a source of connection and belonging that feeds the work of Elizabeth Streb and her Action heroes.

The event will feature an evening of festivities, including a performance of FAILING FORWARD, AGAIN by STREB EXTREME ACTION, a performance by our STREB Kid Company, a post-show reception with Elizabeth and our current Action Hero troupe, and children ages 5 & up will be invited to participate in a PopAction Workshop with our Action Heroes. It will be an evening dedicated to action and our continued evolution.

Tickets to the December 3 event are $100 ($50 is tax deductible). Co-Chairs of the evening are Christine Chen, Sarah Donnelly, Paula Gifford, Craig Tooman, and Brooke Williams.
