I sailed on the ferry from Oakland to the Ferry Building for over 20 years. A wonderful way to start and end the work day.

Charlie knows ferries, old and new. Here is the cover photo from Patricia Anderson's, "The Ferryboat Berkeley, California's Gem," Glencannon Press, 2020. In the aftermath of the 1906 earthquake, my great grandfather and grandfather shuttled back and forth to Alameda on the Berkeley. It is a gem, fully restored on the waterfront in San Diego.

I wonder **I hope! I hope!** if this presentation will cover, in part, the Solano and Contra Costa train ferries of Carquinez Strait.
