Help Taz Fight Lymphoma

We are heartbroken to share that Category 5 K9 alumni K9 Taz has been diagnosed with lymphoma. Lymphoma is an aggressive form of cancer, but with treatment, there is hope that it can be put into remission-giving Taz more time to enjoy the retirement he has earned.

Taz’s veterinary care is the responsibility of his handler and family. We are hoping to ease that burden by helping cover the cost of his cancer treatment.

Taz’s journey began on the streets of San Antonio, where he was rescued by God’s Dogs Rescue. Seeing his potential, they reached out to Category 5 K9 to help him find a job he would love. It quickly became clear that Taz was meant for urban search and rescue. In 2018, he joined Texas A&M Task Force 1 and went on to serve communities across Texas and the United States, responding to hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods.

Now it’s our turn to stand by Taz, helping him fight cancer so he can enjoy a well-deserved retirement. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
