R.I.S.E. Shreveport is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to charitable and educational purposes. Our mission is to build healthy communities by helping individuals tap into their own resiliency. Our flagship program, Project Get Healthy (PGH), aims to support community members in building, improving, and maintaining a lifetime of spiritual, emotional, physical, financial, and mental health—regardless of their circumstances.

In 2023, we launched the #FightForYou initiative, encouraging participants to set, work towards, and achieve weekly goals. This challenge is designed to demonstrate each participant's resilience, build their confidence, and strengthen their ability to achieve holistic health. In 2024, we expanded this initiative into the #FightForYou campaign. Our focus is on educating and empowering the community to recognize that they are not defined by their past and that they possess the strength to overcome it. We aim to foster coping mechanisms, healing, forgiveness, and forward movement. Through this campaign, we are teaching our community how to R.I.S.E.

Educational Opportunities:

Increased Scholarships: Providing more financial assistance for current college students.
Essential Supplies: Offering trunks for first-time college students and backpacks for students from elementary to high school.

Community Outreach Efforts:

Adult Field Days: Promoting fun and fitness through engaging community activities.
Free Fitness Classes: Partnering with RISE to offer accessible fitness sessions.
"Run to Your Health" 5K: Encouraging healthy lifestyles through community running events.
Holiday Sponsorship: Supporting families in need during the holiday season.
Quarterly Health & Wellness Events: Hosting free events to promote overall well-being.
