Our greatest need is to fill our feed barn — and the need never ends.

Every two weeks, the feed delivery truck brings a fresh load of hay pellets, equine senior feed, and beet pulp pellets to keep our herd fat, happy, and healthy. This specialized pelleted feed is not a luxury for our horses — it’s a medical necessity. Many of our residents have little to no functional teeth left, and pelleted feed prevents choking while delivering the dense nutrition they need to maintain weight and strength in their golden years. It’s easy to digest, even for horses with end-stage teeth.

Because of their special needs, this feed must be soaked and served wet three times a day — and for some of our most fragile horses, even more often. That means a constant cycle of preparation, feeding, and refilling the barn. When the feed barn is full, our caregivers can focus on what matters most: comfort, care, and dignity for every horse.
