At First Light, we know that small actions can have a big impact. A pair of socks given to a survivor in the emergency room can help him feel supported. A blanket given to a child after her forensic interview can help her feel safe. A small bracelet given to a client after they complete their counseling treatment can help them feel celebrated. We know when survivors feel seen and heard in small ways, they can begin to heal in big ways. This Giving Tuesday, we want you to be part of that story. First Light’s services include a 24-hour-7-days-a-week helpline, emergency room advocacy, an active and vital volunteer program, treatment and advocacy for survivors of abuse and assault, professional training for our community partners, a full range of clinical services provided by master’s-level counselors, abuse prevention education, and community and school education and awareness programs. All of our services are provided at no cost to our clients.
