During Wellesley Wonderful Weekend

As we honor the past, and build a sustainable future this 2023 Wellesley Wonderful Weekend, be on the lookout for some new twists to your favorite things about this time honored tradition in town.

One new option is no cost access to the MetroWest Regional Transit Authorities’ Catch Connect, Micro Transit Service. Take the Catch Connect on Saturday, May 20th from 10am to 3.30pm to the many Wellesley Wonderful Weekend venues (i.e. Touch a Truck event, police and fire station open houses, art in the park and other events). Riders over 12 years of age can ride unaccompanied.

Public transportation like this, ridesharing, carpooling, walking or biking to the Wellesley Wonderful Weekend events will reduce traffic and emissions. Transportation makes up nearly 40% of greenhouse emissions in Wellesley.

Feel free to use Catch Connect’s curb to curb services Monday-Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m, from your door to anywhere in Wellesley and selected destinations including Newton Wellesley Hospital, Natick Community Center, Woodland and Waban Green line T Stations, and Needham Heights MBTA station which is fully ADA accessible. This is part of the Town of Wellesley’s effort to educate the community about its greenhouse gas emissions reduction goal and the Climate Action Plan.
