On October 2, 2023, my brother decided he could no longer endure his struggles. Losing someone close to you to suicide takes you to your knees. It rips through families, communities, and schools, affecting millions of lives unlike anything else.

But like so many others struggling in silence, my brother didn’t get the help he needed.

That’s why I started Love You Adam—to fight for Adam by saving the lives of others through better therapist interventions.

The Problem: Therapists Aren’t Trained in Suicide Prevention

It’s shocking, but most therapists never receive formal training to handle suicidal patients, and if they do, it has no basis of evidence that it works. Imagine if we treated cancer and heart disease this way. Many therapists don’t know what to do, leaving suicidal patients without the support they desperately need. That’s where we come in.

At Love You Adam, we train therapists in Crisis Response Planning—a simple, research-backed method that reduces suicide risk by 74%. It’s proven to save lives. But without funding, we can’t train the therapists who are on the front lines.
