The Foundation for Healthcare Leaders of New York was established in 2021 to create sustainable funding for healthcare leadership development through scholarships and educational opportunities. With support from Healthcare Leaders of New York and our major donors, over 50 scholarships have been awarded to promising healthcare leaders.

The Foundation exists solely through the generous contributions of healthcare leaders, industry partners, and dedicated professionals committed to excellence in healthcare leadership.

Our scholarships provide crucial support to promising healthcare leaders who might otherwise lack access to the resources, education, and networking opportunities necessary to advance in their careers.

The Foundation for Healthcare Leaders of New York is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

Our Scholarships:

Arthur & Sharon Gianelli ACHE Congress Scholarship

- $2,500 (Awarded in March)
- Awarded to an Early Careerist (Member/Fellow under 40) in support of attending ACHE Congress. Includes mentorship with C-Suite Leader.

Leonard Achan Sr. Health Equity Scholarship

- $1,500 (Awarded in September)
- Awarded to students exemplifying a commitment to the betterment of the healthcare ecosystem, with the hope of one day “paying it forward”.

Sganga Family Scholarship for Early Careerist

- $5000 (Awarded in October)
- Awarded to Early Careerist (Member/Fellow under 40) who recently completed a healthcare degree and are paying off student loans.
