On June 21st, Dwright Tubman, was tragically taken from us far too soon. He had moved from Baltimore, Maryland to Pennsylvania with the hope of starting fresh and building a better life. He had only been living in a rented room for less than a week when a senseless act of violence ended his life.

Dwright was trying to do the right thing. He respectfully asked one of the tenants to clean up after herself, but her boyfriend reacted violently, attacking and stabbing Dwright multiple times in the stomach. Despite efforts to save him, he died from his injuries, leaving our family devastated and heartbroken.

Dwright was more than this tragedy. He was kind, hopeful, and determined to make positive changes in his life. He had a warm heart, a beautiful spirit, and a dream of creating a better future.

We are now left not only with unbearable grief, but with unexpected expenses as we try to bring Dwright home to Baltimore and give him the farewell he deserves. We are asking for your help to cover funeral, burial, and transportation costs, as well as to support our family as we navigate this difficult time.
