About The Technology Student Association

The Technology Student Association was started by industrial arts teachers who wanted to provide opportunities for their students to be recognized for their accomplishments and was originally the American Industrial Arts Student Association (AIASA).

The organization was officially sponsored by the American Industrial Arts Association for a number of years, became an independent nonprofit corporation in 1978 and in 1988 the name was changed to the Technology Student Association to more accurately reflect that which students are now being taught; the technologies of our time. Members have the opportunity to compare their technology competencies with other students through local, regional, state and national competitions.

We welcome Personal and Business Checks. After completing the online donation form, Personal and Business Checks should be sent via postal mail to the address provided at checkout. Checks may also be dropped off at the Gettysburg Area High School main office. All checks must be made payable to Gettysburg Area Education Foundation or GAEF.

GAEF also welcomes electronic donations from corporations, including employer match programs.

A gift to the Gettysburg Area Education Foundation will help provide:

Fundraising assistance to all Gettysburg Area School District organizations and staff through direct grants and access to GAEF's Giving Hub crowdfunding page powered by Givebutter.
Up to $3,000.00 in grants each year to Gettysburg Area School District staff to encourage classroom innovation and/or help solve funding challenges outside the annual building or department budget.
Grants for financial assistance to Gettysburg Area High School students enrolled in career and technical education classes to help cover registration and entry fees as well as travel, hotel, and meal costs for attending regional, state, and national competitions and conferences. Financial support for these grants is provided by the Larry R. and Janet M. Redding Designated Endowment Fund held by the Adams County Community Foundation.
Grant writing assistance and support to Gettysburg Area School District organizations and staff.
