As the authority of natural deathcare, the Green Burial Council (GBC) prides itself on being a bridge between families and providers. The demand for green burials is growing with more than 60% of families interested in exploring green burial (a 10% increase in just four year s!) To meet that rising demand, we must focus on preparing future funeral providers to assist these families. Namely: supporting today's mortuary students.

Today's students are our future funeral directors. And they are craving more preparation and resources so they can enter the world prepared to help families with green burial arrangements. This past year, we presented green burial educational programming specifically for mortuary students across the country. Our virtual presentations were made to several colleges and were met with overwhelmingly positive reviews.

The Data

Over 80% of our past attendees felt learning more about green burial would prepare them for their career in funeral service. Similarly, over 90% would choose green burial education if it was offered within their course of study. Through our educational seminars, we provide what is missing in the training of our future funeral providers. And to continue to do this, we need your help.

Fund more in-person, on-campus seminars to more mortuary programs and allow us to engage today's students face-to-face
Sponsor the production of our expert-led webinars, keeping them free for both the public and mortuary students
