Help Carry Gavan’s Legacy Forward

The Gavan Clearman Memorial Foundation was born from a love that will never end and a desire to make sure Gavan’s life continues to make a difference in the lives of others.

Gavan was only 16 years old, but his life left an impact far beyond his years. He loved to talk, loved to laugh, and had a way of making people feel seen. He was always willing to lend a hand, and most importantly, his faith in Jesus became an important part of the young man he was becoming.

We would give anything to have more time with Gavan. But even in the midst of our loss, we believe God can take our deepest sorrow and use it to bring hope, kindness, and love into the lives of others.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4

Gavan’s time here was far too short, but the love he gave, the faith he carried, and the lives he touched did not disappear when he left this world.

His life can still inspire kindness.
His faith can still point others toward hope.
His love for people can still bring people together.
And his legacy can still change lives.

Turning Loss Into Hope

Through the Gavan Clearman Memorial Foundation, we are choosing to turn our love for Gavan into action.

Every donation helps us create opportunities to lift others through scholarships, acts of kindness, youth and community programs, memorial events, and future projects that allow Gavan’s legacy to continue making a difference.

Scripture reminds us:

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” — Hebrews 13:16

That verse speaks directly to what we want GCMF to become: people choosing to do good, sharing with others, and helping someone simply because they have the opportunity.

Whether you give $10, $25, $100, or another amount, every gift becomes part of something bigger. It becomes another act of kindness performed in Gavan’s memory and another opportunity to remind someone that they matter.

Live Like Gavan

Live Like Gavan is more than the name behind our mission. It is a challenge for all of us.

We believe kindness is a choice.
We believe every person matters.
We believe faith gives hope.
We believe one life can inspire thousands.

We choose to Live Like Gavan.

And as we continue building this Foundation, we hold close another promise from Scripture:

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

That is how we want Gavan to be remembered—not only through his name, his pictures, or the number 60, but through what happens because he lived.

A student receiving an opportunity.
A family being helped during a difficult time.
A young person being encouraged.
A stranger experiencing an unexpected act of kindness.
A community coming together to lift someone up.

Those moments are how a legacy continues.

A Life Remembered. A Legacy We Honor. Kindness That Lives On.

Choose Kindness. Lift Others. Follow Jesus.
