The PTA helps create the moments that make school feel special, from classroom enrichment and field trips to community events and teacher support. These aren’t “extras.” They’re the experiences that help our children feel safe, connected, and inspired to learn. They help our kids be kids, even when the world outside feels complicated.

As we approach the end of the calendar year, we’re asking for your financial support.

Every dollar you give — whether it’s $5, $50, or $500 — goes directly toward programs that strengthen our school community and ensure that every child has access to the same joyful, enriching opportunities. No gift is too big or too small.

There’s no question it’s a heavy time. That’s exactly why what we do together as a school community matters so much. Community is our superpower, now more than ever!

If giving financially isn’t possible right now, there are other ways to contribute: by sharing this campaign, volunteering for events, or simply showing up for our students and teachers.

Are donations tax deductible?

Yes! Kennedy PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Who can donate?

The PTA can accept a donation from *anyone* who wants to make one and we hope you share this campaign with your family, friends, and professional networks. Our hope is by looking outwards to our greater community, we can help take the burden off of individual Kennedy families.

How much should you donate?

Any amount matters, and even if you have only a few dollars to spare, you're making an impact!

$10 can cover a student's entry fee to a museum; $125 can cover one classroom's virtual trip to the moon; $300 can cover a grade's entry to the ice skating rink; $525 can cover a bus; $1800 would cover the End of Year Staff Lunch!

PTA Funds That?

The PTA provides equitably distributed funding for:

entry fees and buses for field trips
grade-level and multi-grade special programs, activities and assemblies
in-school and out-of-school community-building events and celebrations for students, families, and staff
Tiger t-shirts for all students (piloting an every-other-year plan for all students, every year for any new-to-school students)
staff appreciation events and initiatives
graduation-related events and activities through the 8th Grade Committee
opportunities for advocacy and parent resource-sharing and education
and more!

By donating to the General Fund, you'll help cover all of these initiatives, plus the basic operating costs of running the PTA, such as office supplies, software, insurance, and IRS and Mass DOR filing fees. How much do we need?

The goal is to raise $18,500 through this campaign.

By contributing to this campaign, your contribution goes entirely towards the PTA's budgeted expenses, with no hidden fundraising costs beyond the very small cost of marketing materials and standard fees to the donation platform if you choose not to pay them.

Very large-scale event fundraisers like we have held in the past can cost up to 50% of money raised, plus dozens of labor hours behind the scenes, so our organization's goal this year is to raise all of our needed funds through this campaign. You can help us reach this goal by sharing the fundraiser with your family, friends, and professional networks.
