As stewards of Glen Echo Park, we strongly believe the Park is a gift and a treasure for everyone to enjoy—a place where history comes alive through mesmerizing lights and art deco architecture, where the sounds of laughter and music fill the air, and a rich array of visual and performing arts excite the imagination.

We continue to be in awe when the Park is filled with enthusiastic children drawing, painting, creating, performing, and making happy messes. And when adults gather for learning and self-expression, joyful movement, fun with family and friends, and enhanced wellness.

2024 has been another terrific and memorable year at the Park:

900+ creative class offerings and 26 art exhibitions, including collaborations with the Black Art Today Foundation and Healing Artist Collective, as well as a group show featuring three Muslim women artists.
Performances by wonderfully diverse artists, including Coyaba Dance Theater at Carousel Day and Project Locrea at Echo Arts Festival.
The 53rd annual Labor Day Art Show, which exhibited and sold the work of more than 430 artists.
Tribal Voices, the third event in our Diverse Voices series, honoring the culture and history of Native Americans with riveting performances, storytelling, art and craft.
Dances co-presented with culturally diverse organizations like EducArte, whose mission is to ensure equity in performing arts and arts education for local Latin American communities; Dancing by the Bayou, promoting Cajun and Zydeco music and dance; and DC Rawhides, an LGBTQIA+ dance organization.
The Montgomery County premiere of Ilana Trachtman’s award-winning documentary about the Park’s civil rights history, Ain’t No Back To A Merry-Go-Round, presented in partnership with Montgomery History, AFI Silver Theatre, and the County Commission on Remembrance and Reconciliation.
Transportation assistance providing access to performances and programs for more than 1,200 children from Title I schools and nonprofit organizations.

Our programs are not federally funded even though we are in a National Park. YOU sustain and keep our treasured Park thriving every year.

Your donation is critical this year. We must raise $140,000 by December 31 to fund our 2025 season. Contributions from individuals like YOU advance our ambitious plans for providing free performances and festivals, an active social dance program, 900+ classes and workshops, rich cultural experiences, history programming, and the maintenance of the beloved Dentzel carousel, Spanish Ballroom, and Park facilities.
