Sixty years ago, the generosity and foresight of the Gamble family led to the establishment of the unique public treasure that is The Gamble House. Today, along with being a national, state, and local historic landmark, The Gamble House Conservancy has made it a vital communal space for the region and a place of pilgrimage for people who celebrate and find inspiration in craft from around the world.

The devastating fires last year led us to expand our already growing public programs in creative ways, addressing needs in education, the arts, and community recovery. We offered hands-on craft workshops for fire-affected youth, hosted Respite Recitals, and welcomed the Pasadena Audubon Society’s Hummingbird Cantina to our garden after it was lost in Eaton Canyon, to name just a few of our initiatives. Throughout, we remain focused on protecting and preserving the house as an anchor for a region that has lost many treasured historic places.

In our 60th year, we are proud to launch the “60 for 60” campaign and invite you to support our work with a gift of $6,000, $600, or $60. Our goal is to raise $60,000, and we are excited to announce that thanks to our long-time partners at The Windgate Foundation, if we raise $60,000, we will unlock a Challenge Grant of $60,000 earmarked for our Strategic Care Fund. This grant will help ensure we have the resources we need for future conservation projects and specialized maintenance work.

A gift of $60 becomes $120, $600 becomes $1,200, and $6,000 becomes $12,000 for The Gamble House Conservancy.
