African Youth Sports Academy (AYSA) is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people through sports, mentorship, leadership development, and educational opportunities.

We serve youth from immigrant, refugee, and low-income families throughout Seattle and South King County, creating safe and supportive environments where young people can build confidence, develop life skills, stay active, and reach their full potential.

For many families, the cost of organized sports can be a barrier. AYSA works to remove those barriers by providing accessible programming, mentorship, scholarships, equipment support, and positive community connections that help young people succeed both on and off the field.
