Nestled in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ferrum Park’s Primitive Campground offers a rare chance to unplug, slow down, and reconnect with nature and community, while still being within 1 mile of grocery stores and restaurants.

The special discounted group camping rate is $10 per person, available for reservations between April 4, 2026 and April 7, 2026. All campers must be registered and paid at least 10 days prior to arrival.

Included with your stay:

Access to campers' choice of packed-gravel RV sites, grass field camping areas, or wooded, natural forest-floor sites.
Full use of the 84-acre property, including miles of multi-use trails for hiking, birdwatching, and quiet reflection
Use of the large community fire pit for group gatherings
A shared community dinner provided by Ferrum Park and the Ferrum community

The group may also reserve The Balehouse, a 2,800-square-foot enclosed shelter, for a flat discounted rate of $50 total during the same April 4–7, 2026 date window.

Your registration helps cover campground use and shared amenities and directly supports Ferrum Park, a community-owned nonprofit park maintained entirely by volunteers. Every contribution helps us care for the land, maintain trails, and keep the park accessible to the public.
