Gahanna Special Olympics serves approximately 85 athletes with intellectual disabilities from the local Gahanna community. We offer eight core sports – Basketball, Bowling, Flag Football, Golf, Soccer, Swimming, and Track & Field. We offer traditional Special Olympics training for athletes eight years of age and up and a modified program for Young Athletes ages 2-7.

We are an all-volunteer organization with approximately 75 volunteers, which include many of our parents & guardians, as well as community members and teachers from local school districts.

Although we are a subsidiary of Special Olympics Ohio, our funding is 100% self-generated and we rely solely on the generosity of others by both their financial donations as well as the gift of their time.
