Supporting A Global Voice for Autism's "10 for 10" campaign means you will be helping to equip humanitarian organizations and local communities to effectively support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families in areas of acute need including natural disasters, humanitarian crises and conflict-affected regions.

Adnan is Hene’s 10-year-old child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). He also has epilepsy and his medication was lost during the earthquakes that destroyed their home in Turkey in 2023. This is just one of the many stories we heard from our families following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria in February 2023. They were unable to get access to such life-sustaining needs as food, shelter and medications for their child with autism because the humanitarian organizations on the ground weren't prepared to support their unique circumstances. This meant that some families slept in the streets because shelter environments were too loud and overwhelming for their child with ASD while others desperately sought out food that their child could safely eat. For many children with ASD, medical treatment was particularly challenging due to sensory and communication issues. We realized more needs to be done to help families like Hene's and countless others.

That's why we are utilizing our humanitarian, cultural and clinical expertise working with refugee and displaced families of children with autism and other disabilities to develop a first-of-its-kind training platform to educate and equip domestic and international aid and first responder organizations with the skills and knowledge they need to better serve these families.

Our vision: to train 10,000 humanitarian workers by 2026 and ensure safer, more equitable futures for all children. It's an ambitious goal but one that is achievable with your support!
