In the heart of Bridgeport, a powerful movement for food justice is taking root. This is the story of Green Village Initiative (GVI), where we are cultivating a community that is stronger, healthier, and more connected. Our mission is clear: to ensure every person has access to fresh, healthy, and culturally relevant food, and to empower the next generation of leaders.

This vital work happens every day at Reservoir Community Farm and Garden, where we transform urban land into a source of fresh produce and community. We believe in the power of a single tomato plant to bring families together and the shared purpose found in a garden plot. Your support directly sustains this farm, allowing us to grow food and share knowledge all year long.

It also ensures the future of the Youth Leadership Program, our core initiative that mentors and employs young people. Through this program, we are building a new generation of leaders who are passionate about food systems and social justice. Your donation is an investment in their growth, their skills, and their future.

Your ongoing support is essential for the continuation of our mission. It’s what keeps our greenhouses running, our tools in the hands of our growers, and our educational programs free for everyone. When you give, you are not just making a one-time contribution; you are ensuring this living, breathing movement can thrive and expand its roots. Thank you for being the cornerstone of our work.
