UAW 4121 Academic Student Employees have been in negotiations with UW Admin for a fair contract since February, and making it clear that we need to see wages that keep up with our peers in our next contract. UW Admin continues to deny ASEs fair wages, and ASEs are ready to strike if necessary to make sure UW doesn't fall even further behind industry standards.

Last month, ASEs at UW overwhelmingly voted YES on the strike authorization vote with 99% of voting members authorizing the bargaining team to call for a strike if circumstances justify.

In the event of a strike, this fund will be used to supplement strike support from the UAW strike fund to ASEs who experience hardship as a result of lost pay.
