Every summer, children from Chester and surrounding communities come together at Camp Encouragement, a free program created for kids who have experienced loss, whether through death, incarceration, addiction, or abandonment. Camp is where their healing journey begins. It is a space filled with creativity, friendship, laughter, and care, where children can express their feelings, build confidence, and begin to rediscover joy.

But for many families, there is one thing standing between their child and this experience: a ride.

You can change that.

This past year, several children registered for camp but were unable to attend because their families had no reliable transportation. Instead of spending their summer learning, growing, and connecting, they had to stay home. For many parents who work long hours or lack access to a car, the daily trip to and from camp is not possible.

Your support can help us fix this.

Through the Get on the Bus campaign, you can make sure every child who wants to attend Camp Encouragement has a way to get there. Your contribution helps remove transportation barriers and supports all transportation costs for Camp Encouragement —from getting children safely to and from camp each day to providing rides for field trips and the overnight camp experience —so every child can take part in a summer of growth and joy.
