This July, join us for nocturnal nature appreciation in the New Jersey Pine Barrens!

We'll gather at Pakim Pond at 7pm and do a short walk around the pond, followed by a few hours of observing the animals that come to a "light sheet", which will attract various insects, including lots of moths!

This location is great because we can reliably find carnivorous plants, and see a whole variety of critters. Previous Moth Nights we've seen snakes, bats, foxes, turtles, frogs, birds, beetles, and so many moths! We just got a new bat detector so we can see who's flying around the forest out of sight 👀

This year, we are doing TWO moth nights. One will be for a general audience, the other more art-focused. You do NOT need to be a professional artist to attend the art night. We'll just have more people painting and drawing than our typical moth nights!
