2023 Westwood Gingerbread House Contest

Westwood, NJ (November 7, 2023) - Calling all Westwood residents with a sweet tooth and a creative flair! Join us for the inaugural Celebrate Westwood Gingerbread House Contest on December 11, 2023, 6PM-8PM at the Westwood Community Center. Whether you're a seasoned gingerbread house builder or a first-timer, we encourage you to participate. This is a fun event for the whole family, and we can't wait to see your creations!

Get ready to bake/ assemble a kit, decorate, and compete for fun prizes! Here's how it works:

• Bake your gingerbread house, use a kit or make it from cardboard - you choose (we’re not tasting them!)

• Be creative with your decorations!

• Set up your display at the Westwood Community Center (55 Jefferson Ave, Westwood, NJ 07675) on December 11th between 5:30pm and 6:00pm. Gingerbread houses should be made off-site in advance with only mild tweaks necessary for display the night of the event. 

• Contestants and spectators are invited to view and vote at the Westwood Community Center from 6pm to 7:30pm.

• All entries will be posted on social media and eligible for consideration in the “Internet’s Favorite” prize category (awarded next day). 

• Onsite awards and prizes will be presented at 7:45pm, December 11. 

• Winning houses will be displayed at the Westwood Free Public Library December 12-22, 2023.
