The UIU Tri-State Chapter is proud to support the UIUCares Girls’ Health Program, an initiative dedicated to empowering young girls through menstrual health education and access to essential hygiene supplies.

For many girls, something as simple as a lack of sanitary products can become a barrier to confidence, health, and even school attendance. Through this program, we aim to ensure that young girls have the knowledge and resources they need to care for their health and continue their education with dignity.

In November 2025, the program reached 49 public secondary school girls at Ezi Awka Community Secondary School in Awka, Anambra State, providing menstrual hygiene education and personal care packages containing sanitary pads, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and detergent.

The need continues.

With your support, we hope to expand this program to reach even more girls across Igbo communities, ensuring that no girl is held back due to lack of access to basic hygiene products or education.
