Last year, Richmond came together in a powerful way.

Through Give 804, our community raised more than $60,000, collected 1,700 books, and recruited hundreds of volunteers to support literacy efforts across Richmond Public Schools. Together, we demonstrated what is possible when a city rallies around its children.

But our work is not finished.

Too many students still lack consistent access to books at home and the support needed to become confident readers. That's why Richmond Ed Fund, Richmond Public Schools, and community partners are continuing to invest in a bold vision: ensuring every child reads proficiently by third grade by 2030.

Give 804 is Richmond’s annual literacy movement and a citywide moment to invest in students. Every dollar donated, every book collected, and every volunteer who steps forward helps create more opportunities for students to discover the joy and power of reading.

This year, we're aiming even higher. Join us as we raise funds, expand access to books, and strengthen a culture of reading throughout our city.
