This year marks our 22nd year of hosting the Puck Cancer Tournaments, and we truly can’t put into words how grateful we are for the incredible support, generosity, and dedication of the hockey community over the past 21 years. Because of you, Puck Cancer continues to grow—and we couldn’t be more excited to lace up for another impactful and successful summer of tournaments in 2026!

Puck Cancer was co-founded in 2006 by sisters Sue Padulo and Sandy Cross. At just 26 years old, Sue was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Through it all, her love of hockey and her determination to stay on the ice became powerful motivators on her journey back to a healthy, cancer-free life.

To celebrate Sue’s survivorship and to pay it forward, Puck Cancer was created with one clear mission: to help others whose lives have been forever changed by cancer. That mission was brought to the one place they knew would rally people together—the ice. Hockey players, fans, and supporters share a unique bond, and that shared passion has been transformed into meaningful action in the fight against this grueling disease.

The Puck Cancer teams are made up of siblings, spouses, lifelong friends, and teammates brought together by the game of hockey. Each of us has been touched by cancer in some way, and these tournaments give us the opportunity to unite for a powerful cause—while playing the game we love.

All proceeds from Puck Cancer tournaments are donated directly to individuals and families battling cancer. No matter the type of cancer or the age of the recipient, our goal is simple: to help. By easing the financial burden, we hope to provide a bit of relief so recipients can focus on what truly matters—healing and getting healthy.
