KDHX was founded to represent the St. Louis community of listeners–a place where all members of the community could see and hear themselves reflected in our programming. Currently, 65% of KDHX on-air volunteers are from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. On KDHX, you can hear metal, jazz, ambient, soul, hip-hop, bluegrass, and more. KDHX is one of the only media organizations in the country with this level of representation.
