On any given day at Family Nurturing, you’ll find foster children interacting with their biological parents or grandparents in our supervised visitation rooms in Cincinnati. In our Florence location, it’s common to see a child conversing with a Master’s degree-level counselor while curled up on the floor next to Wambach, our Canine Companions facility dog. On both sides of the Ohio River, children play make believe with toys or create crafts while visiting us. They’re kids being kids.

What you won’t see: The invisible scars of trauma that the children carry.

Many of our participants are children or adults who’ve experienced childhood trauma. They come to us for hope and healing. And they’re never charged for our services. They’re completely free.
