Piper Ganer's Story

At 2 years old, Piper was diagnosed with a rare, neuro developmental disorder called ZTTK. Discovered only in 2016, there are no known cures or treatments. Piper has proven she is a force since the day she was born. She is determined, strong, and works hard every single day to accomplish tasks that otherwise come easy to most. Through thousands of various therapies across OT, PT and Speech, Piper continues to shine. She is happy, friendly, kind, the best sister and is unconditionally loved by so many. We are grateful to have the means to support her but we are determined to learn more about the disease in the hopes that we can further help her have a long and healthy life. To raise awareness and funds for research, we have organized a virtual 5K walk during ZTTK awareness month which is in September. We will be walking along the Hudson River (date TBD) and encourage you all to dedicate a day in September to walk/run/bike a 5K in support of Piper and the ZTTK community.
