This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in creating a beautiful and comfortable home for our beloved Buddy, a remarkable three-legged steer who has touched our hearts since his rescue in 2019. When Buddy first arrived at Iowa Farm Sanctuary, we were told by his vet team that he would only survive a few months due to his missing limb. However, against all odds, Buddy us thriving at 7 years old!

When we purchased Buddy's shelter, we believed his time with us would be short, so it was a basic structure- nothing fancy, just a place where he could rest and have shelter from the elements. But Buddy is a fighter and he deserves a barn that reflects his incredible spirit and the Joy he brings to everyone around him.

As Buddy ages, it is essential that he has a safe and comfortable space to live. His long overdue barn will provide:

Comfort: A cozy space where Buddy can rest and relax.
Weather Proof: Protection from the harsh Iowa weather to keep Buddy safe and healthy
Accessibility: Easier access to fresh water and other essentials so Buddy doesn't have to journey to far to meet his basic needs.

Most importantly, Buddy loves spending time on his "front porch". With your support, we can build him a barn that includes a beautiful porch where he can soak up the sun and enjoy his surroundings.
