Seattle’s LGBTQ+ Center celebrates over 30 years building resilience and joy in our LGBTQ communities.

In 1995, a group of community activists launched what is today the Seattle LGBTQ+ Center with a bold vision of building a community stronger than HIV. This mission evolved in the 2000s when the organization introduced its Wellness Center, Arts Programs, and established a physical space where all LGBTQ people could be themselves, and again in the 2020s with a move to a new space and the addition of youth programs, a Mutual Aid Closet, and a host of community programs like quarterly art markets, DV prevention programs, and more.

Seattle LGBTQ+ Center cultivates access and connections to promote self-determination, liberation and joy in our communities.

Today, the Center remains the leading community-based HIV/STI tester in King County, provides numerous LGBTQ+ affirming services, and serves as a pillar of support for community members. The organization is an active force in queer youth engagement, provides LGBTQ-centered trainings that address the needs of the most marginalized people within our community, and so much more.
