We launched GoRUFFLY Around the World to put RUFFLY craftsman built dog gear and K9 Moto Cockpit to the ultimate test – and raise $100K for Girl Up!

We set off from Lake Atitlan, Guatemala where used to live and manufacture RUFFLY.

Our German Shepherd, Moxie, was my motorcycle copilot and Greg rides his own motorbike. Every six months of the journey, we tackle a major challenge every six months and our achievement was to reach the Arctic Ocean!

Then, on the way to South America, personal tragedy struck when Greg suffered a severe motorcycle accident and, just days later, our beloved Moxie passed away suddenly from complications after a routine knee surgery.

Heartbroken, injured, and grieving, we went on a motorcycle pilgrimage to celebrate that special bond by visiting other people who do extraordinary things with their dog. After completing the pilgrimage, we welcomed Swiss Shepherd puppy Whimsy into our pack.

Still healing, we continued the journey south and, when we reached the end of the Pan-American Highway, we trekked across the Darien Gap jungle.

Then we rode through Colombia and Ecuador, backpacked over the Peruvian Andes, and crossed blazing wildfires in the Amazon. After three tremendous and challenging years on the road, we reached the bottom of South America!

Now, we’re gearing up to leave the Americas and start the next great leg of this journey…
