Help Us Fill Tiny Bellies This Kitten Season! 🍼🐾

Every spring and summer, kitten season arrives… and with it comes an overwhelming number of hungry little mouths.

Each year, we typically take in 15 orphaned kittens during May and June. Just as they’re finally weaned and eating on their own, another 15–20 kittens arrive needing bottle feedings all over again. While things slow down a bit in late fall, kitten season never truly ends.

Right now, we have 11 kittens in our care, and they go through one full can of KMR powdered kitten milk replacer every little over two days. At about $30 per can, the cost adds up incredibly fast.

We use powdered KMR because it has a much longer shelf life than the liquid version and can be mixed fresh as needed. Once opened, liquid KMR only lasts a couple of days in the refrigerator, making the powdered formula the most economical and practical option for a rescue.

Our goal is to stockpile enough KMR to carry us through the remainder of the 2026 kitten season, so we’re ready when the next litter of orphaned babies arrives.
