A Call to Action for Peace, Justice, and Earth's Wellbeing

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for your support in a profoundly sacred undertaking. This December 3-12, 2024, an extraordinary journey will take place – a Sacred Journey to Peru with our friends as The Shift Network, featuring some Grandmothers you hold dear to you ~ the revered Grandmother Moetu Taiha (Maori), Grandmother Eila Paul (Maori), and Grandmother Flordemayo (Mayan). These esteemed elders carry with them the wisdom of their ancestors, a lifelong commitment to the causes of peace, justice, and the protection of our Earth.

The Grandmothers were invited by Grandmother Flordemayo's dear friend Stephen Dinan, Founder of The Shift Network and close friend of over twenty years. We are being hosted by Puma Quispe Singona, and joined by other Shift Network Faculty: Anodea Judith, Dr. Marie Mbouni, and Lindsey Wise.

Our Sacred Mission

The Sacred Valley and Cusco, nestled within the heart of Peru, are lands imbued with ancient energies and histories. Our grandmothers, alongside their chosen travel companions, will embark on this sacred pilgrimage to connect, learn, and spread the healing messages our world desperately needs. However, such a significant journey requires both time and resources.

Why We Need Your Help

The path to Peru is not just a physical journey but a spiritual mission that demands careful preparation and support. To ensure our grandmothers and their companions can fully participate in this transformative experience, we need to cover:

Round Trip Travel: Securing safe and comfortable travel arrangements from their home countries to Peru.
Registration Fees: Enabling their participation in all the sacred gatherings and ceremonies. Like any event there are many fees that need to paid.
Lodging: Providing a peaceful and nurturing environment for them to acclimate to the changes in time and altitude before the event.
Sustenance: Ensuring they have nourishing meals throughout their stay, supporting their health and wellbeing.

Welcome to Our New Journey into 2024 for The Path

As the dawn of 2024 unfolds before us, we pause to reflect on the year gone by—a year of challenges, growth, and profound experiences. With gratitude and optimism, we embrace the promise of the new year, carrying forward the lessons and blessings of 2023.

A Period of Renewal for The Path

In the natural world, there are times when seeds must lie dormant, gathering strength for the moment they burst forth into life. Similarly, The Path will be entering a phase of dormancy in its physical form throughout 2024. This necessary pause comes in the wake of the challenges faced last year, including the significant damage inflicted by a supercell storm.

Embracing a Time of Transformation
The Path's physical sanctuary, a place of learning, gathering, and spiritual connection, will temporarily close its doors to visitors as we embark on a journey of renewal and rebuilding. This decision, though difficult, is essential to ensure the longevity and sustainability of our sacred space. Our immediate goals are twofold: to secure the funds needed for our annual budget and to gather the resources required to repair the damage from last year's storm.

Continuing Our Mission
While The Path's physical grounds may be resting, our mission remains vibrant and active. We are committed to spreading Indigenous and Elder Wisdom through a variety of channels. Our focus will be on expanding our virtual presence and continuing to host in-person events in alternative locations. This approach allows us to continue sharing invaluable teachings and connecting with our community, even as we work towards the restoration of our beloved physical space.
