Bob understood that community doesn't just happen – it grows from intentional care, safe spaces, and neighbors committed to each other's wellbeing. Today, the Bob Haas Community Trust is ready to plant those same seeds at 29 Monadnock Street, but first we need to prepare the soil.

After months of careful planning, we're launching our "Grow Good Together" capital improvement campaign to transform 29 into the vibrant community hub Bob envisioned. As our growing community of residents embraces the spirit of neighborhood service, we need your help to ensure our house can fully support this important work. Essential updates for safety, energy efficiency, and creating a truly welcoming space are crucial to empowering every resident—current and future—to contribute meaningfully to our shared mission.

Your Investment Plants Seeds of Community

Over the next five years, we're implementing a comprehensive improvement plan to ensure 29 remains a safe, welcoming community hub for generations. This summer, we're focusing on the most urgent needs:

Every Dollar Counts - $5-$100 Covers supplies for volunteer clean-up days, paint brushes for interior work, or materials for small repairs that keep our community space welcoming.

Plant-a-Seed Donor - $500 Helps fund tree trimming and care for overgrown branches affecting sidewalks and neighbors' yards, showing our commitment to being good neighbors.

Community Gardener - $1,000 Supports brightening the children's parlor and dining room with fresh paint, creating welcoming spaces where residents can invite neighbors for potlucks and other community building gatherings..

Growth Partner - $2,500 Sponsors essential electrical repairs to ensure safe air conditioning and fan usage during Boston's hot summers, keeping residents and community gatherings comfortable year-round.

Neighborhood Champion - $5,000+ Funds major exterior improvements like deck repainting, gutter cleaning and repair, and exterior restoration that will protect the house and maintain neighborhood pride.

Looking Ahead: Our five-year vision includes a complete roof replacement ($40,000) and comprehensive exterior restoration including siding, trim, and repainting ($35,000). Today's improvements prepare us for tomorrow's bigger goals.

Our Summer Goal: $25,000

These funds will complete immediate improvements including tree care, interior painting, electrical upgrades, deck restoration, and the new front fence sign that will proudly announce 29's renewed role in the community.
