We warmly invite you to join us for an enjoyable evening! The Hiddur Mitzvah Project is designed to help everyone, regardless of artistic ability, create a personal piece of heirloom-quality Judaica. Inspired by the captivating style of Gary Rosenthal, each piece is made from mixed metals and vibrant glass. YOU embellish your item - such as a mezuzah, candlesticks, or a menorah - by designing a beautiful piece of fused glass to add to it!

There’s no need to worry about having artistic skills—what matters is the joy of creating! The process is simplified so that everyone can participate successfully! You come and design the decorative glass for your piece, then we will send it out to have it fired in the kiln and return your piece to you completely finished! Whether you choose to bring along your neighbor, your spouse, or a dear friend, you'll have the opportunity to create something truly beautiful together. And for families, children aged 7 and above are more than welcome to join and take part in this delightful experience!

I'd Love to Come! How Do I Participate?

Step One: Select a piece of artwork to design, and be sure to purchase it here by November 11th!!

All of the designs have a contemporary style that is inspired by tradition.

You may create more than one piece during our Design Event, if you wish. (Order all pieces that you would like to create when you check out; additional pieces will not be available at the event.)

Step Two: Come to our Design Event on Thursday, November 21 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

The Design Event is where all the fun happens! Here we will design our mosaics by arranging tumbled glass onto templates. These mosaics are sent back to the Gary Rosenthal Collection studio where they are fired, attached to a metal base, and become part of a finished piece of Judaica. Your finished piece is hand made, but will look beautiful and professional. Keep it for yourself...or give it to a friend or family member. These make wonderful gifts!

Step Three: Pick up your finished Judaica

We will contact you to arrange for pickup in December. We will be sure to get it to you before Hanukkah in case it is a gift!

Remember: Pre-order of your Rosenthal piece is required by November 11, 2024 in order to participate in the Design Event. Purchase of an art piece is your entry ticket to the event!
