After recent immigration enforcement activity in the Twin Cities, many families have lost their critical income and are facing immediate housing insecurity. Stable housing is the foundation for everything—school, work, medical care, and legal follow-ups.

We are raising money to ensure our families are able to pay rent while ICE occupies Minneapolis. We believe in the power of this community to take care of each other. We will be releasing funds as they come to families that have expressed need.

How funds will be used (in order of priority):

Rent and any late fees
Utilities (electricity, gas, water, etc.)
Cash stipend for basic necessities, including groceries, etc.

For safety, names are private; our organizers will find the safest way to verify payment. If we exceed the goal, remaining funds will be extended to other sanctuary schools in Minneapolis with greater financial need.

Update: $15,000 has been distributed to pay rent for families in the month of January. Additional distribution will begin this week to assist families in paying their February bills.
