Through your donations to the Annual Fund, participation in the HCS Gala & Auction, and other community fundraising efforts, HCS has raised nearly $180,000 to date this fiscal year.

While our ultimate goal remains 100% community participation, we also have an exciting opportunity within reach. Our strongest recent fundraising year was in 2019, when HCS raised approximately $185,000. That means we are now just $5,000 away from setting a new fundraising record for HCS.

With only a few weeks remaining in the school year, we invite those who have not yet participated — as well as those excited about helping HCS surpass this milestone — to support the Annual Fund before school ends on June 23:

Most importantly, these dollars directly support the people and programs that make HCS so special. In large part due to the strength of this year’s fundraising, the HCS Board of Trustees recently approved a $1,500 retention bonus for all teachers and staff returning this September—a meaningful investment in the educators and staff who support our students every day.

As a free public charter school in New Jersey, HCS receives less than 70% of the per-pupil funding allocated to many of our peer district schools. Community fundraising helps bridge that gap and allows us to continue providing the exceptional educational experience our students deserve.
